Job Summary
The Unit Assistant ensures clear concise communication and facilitates the flow of information with other facilities, the health care team, visitors, family members and patients. As part of a multidisciplinary team the Unit Assistant provides supportive service to patients, nursing staff and physicians and works in cooperation with other departments with the hospital as well as other nursing units..

Hours of Work: In order to provide the necessary patient care, our operations run 24/7. There is the expectation that you are available to work weekdays, weekends and all shifts (days, nights, 12 hour shifts).
Other: All job offers will require compliance with our COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for proof of full vaccination (two doses) unless provided with a medical exemption or an accomodation under the Ontario Human Rights Code.
As part of our mandatory screening process, the Hospital will require professional references, verification of academic training and professional accreditation along with a current vulnerable sector screening check.
